The Club needs your help over school holidays.
As you know, ours is one of the largest and most competitive clubs in Southeast Queensland. We’re lucky to have very strong junior and senior programs year in and year out, plus one of the State’s premier facilities. Thank you for being a part of our amazing Pine Hills family.
One thing that the Club hasn’t done a lot of is host major events like the Queensland State Titles. Generally, Pine Hills has tried to avoid overstretching its volunteer base and, accordingly, hasn’t thrown its hat in the ring to present a lot of State-level events.
Here’s why we’re
asking for your help.
With rising cost across baseball, we are looking for ways as a club to provide the best value we can to our members without raising fees. Hosting events like the State Titles is a great way to raise revenue for the Club. This is why we have applied for, and been awarded, the Senior League and Big-League State Titles, which will be held Thursday through Sunday, 4-7 April.
What will we do with funds raised from hosting the State Titles? We’re looking to generate funding for a free weekly junior development program. The focus of this junior program will be to develop skills and baseball fundamentals for players from little league through to senior league and for all skill levels. The funds raised will also help keep sign up fees across our Club as low as possible.
Here's what the club is asking you to do.
The April State Titles Event will need volunteers to make it successful. That’s where you come in. We need people to work in the canteen, help with grounds crew work, and generally be a helpful set of hands for any number of tasks. We’re asking Club members across all age levels and affiliations to please donate a few, or several, hours to help out during the tournament. This means parents, senior players, brothers and sisters, aunts, uncles, everyone associated with the Club to please get involved for this effort. Even if you’ve never volunteered with the Club before, we ask that you put your hand up to help out, even if it’s just one shift on one day. Every little bit helps. Often, members are hesitant to put their hand up for fear of over committing or being subjected to multiple future volunteer appeals. This is a special circumstance, and you can opt out of future volunteer appeals if you choose. But who knows? You may find you love it.
The State Titles event goes for four days. Please sign up for a time slot to help out on the volunteer sheets linked to the right. As mentioned, every little bit helps (but feel free to sign up for as much as you want).

We’re still a few weeks out from hosting the event, but we’d love to start filling up the volunteer slots sooner than later! So, please consider putting your hand up to help out. It will be greatly appreciated and will go a long ways to helping the Club present junior development programs in the next year.
